Raising funds for Fresh and Green Acadamy.

I've previously written about the fresh and green academy and this time we're trying to raise funds for the school from breaking apart.

Fresh and Green Academy

Fresh and Green Academy is a school which has provided free education, food, clothes and medical care to underprivileged children and women for the past 13 years. The organization has also created a "Mothers' Cooperative" trough which the mothers of those children are able to generate an income by selling products like blankets, scarves, and jewelry. 

They came without warning

On the morning of July 26, 2013, while school was in session, workers arrived at the campus to seize posession of part of the school grounds to build a road. In short order, they demolished the entry gate, the wall surrounding the north side of the compound, and the first through fifth grade classrooms. Fortunately, Muday, the school owner, and the other adults on hand were able to save the desks and teaching supplies. But the classrooms for grades one through five are gone.
The campus is now 2/3 its former size, and most likely even more will be seized as the road takes shape. 
The short-term plan is for Muday to reconfigure the existing pre-school classrooms and offices to house the 80 or so displaced students. But this plan will only help us through September.Because ...
As if the destruction and seizure of school land was not enough, the owner of the land has decided to sell it. He has offered what is left of it to Muday for $100,000 USD. Fresh and Green Academy must find the money or all 140 children and 60 mothers will be back on the streets, begging. They have no other option for food; the mothers are all employed in the school; Muday has saved them from a life of prostitution.

Our power

For 13 years Fresh and Green Academy has been for these children a passport out of poverty.
A child who completes education will be an adult who will be able to take care of his family.
A child who completes education will be an adult who will be able to break the circle of poverty.
We can help drawing a wonderful destiny for these children.

Fresh and Green Academy è una scuola che per 13 anni ha garantito educazione gratuita, cibo, vestiti e cure mediche a bambini e donne di strada.
L'organizzazione ha creato anche una "Cooperativa delle Madri" attraverso la quale le madri di questi bambini sono in grado di generare un reddito vendendo prodotti come sciarpe, gioielli e cestini.

Sono arrivati senza preavviso

La mattina del 26 Luglio 2013, mentre si svolgevano le lezioni, funzionari del governo sono entrati nel complesso scolastico per prendere possesso di circa un terzo di esso per costruire una strada. Il cancello d'ingresso, una parte delle mura e tutte le classi che ospitavano i bambini delle elementari sono stati distrutti.
Fortunatamente Muday, la donna che gestisce la scuola, e gli altri adulti presenti sono riusciti a salvare almeno i banchi.
Il piano a breve termine è costruire una struttura almeno provvisoria che possa ospitare gli 80 studenti sfollati. Questo però sarà solo fino a Settembre perchè...
Come se la distruzione e il ridimensionamento della scuola non fosse abbastanza, il proprietario del terreno ha deciso di vendere. Il proprietario ha deciso di offrire a Muday ciò che è rimasto della sua proprietà per circa 100.000 Dollari. Fresh and Green Academy deve trovare i soldi o tutti i 140 bambini e le 60 madri rischieranno di tornare per strada a chiedere l'elemosina. Non hanno altra scelta per mangiare; le madri lavorano tutte nella scuola; Muday le ha salvate da una vita di prostituzione.
